1. Current position
The Thoroughbred public website does not currently use advertising cookies, cross-site behavioural tracking or third-party behavioural analytics simply to measure or monetise visitors.
We keep this position under review as the website develops. If we later introduce non-essential analytics, personalisation, advertising or similar technologies, this policy will be updated and any consent or preference controls required by law will be put in place before those technologies are activated.
2. Technically necessary storage
Some browser storage, cookies or similar technical identifiers may be used where they are genuinely necessary to deliver, secure or protect the website and its underlying infrastructure.
This can include functions such as request routing, security controls, abuse prevention, session integrity or remembering a choice that is required for a service you have actively requested.
Necessary technologies are not used by The Thoroughbred to build advertising profiles or follow users across unrelated websites.
3. Analytics, personalisation and marketing
The current public website does not deliberately load Google Analytics, advertising pixels or comparable third-party behavioural measurement tools.
If non-essential measurement is introduced later, we will explain what is being used, why it is being used and how long the relevant information is retained. Where UK law requires consent before the technology is activated, visitors will be given that choice.
4. Third-party websites and services
The Thoroughbred may link to racecourses, ticketing or hospitality providers, travel and accommodation businesses, retailers, app stores and other external services.
When you leave The Thoroughbred and visit a third-party service, that service may use its own cookies, analytics or similar technologies under its own privacy and cookie information. We do not control those third-party technologies.
Where a link is an affiliate or commercial link, the relationship will be disclosed in accordance with our Affiliate Disclosure.
5. Your browser controls
Most browsers let you inspect, block or delete cookies and other stored site data. The exact controls depend on the browser and device you use.
Blocking storage that is genuinely necessary for security or a requested service can affect how that service works. Because the current public website does not deliberately use optional advertising or behavioural-analytics cookies, there is no separate non-essential-cookie preference panel to manage at present.
Questions about cookies, browser storage or privacy can be sent to support@thethoroughbred.co.uk. For wider information about personal data, see our Privacy Notice.
