Racing should not require a glossary before your first race.
Horse racing rewards curiosity, but it often assumes knowledge before it explains anything. Form figures, race types, class, going, weight, pace, connections and course characteristics can arrive all at once.
The aim is not to flatten that complexity. It is to make the first layer clear, keep the deeper detail available and let people decide how far they want to go.
