Oakley is being introduced as a genuine case study for wider Thoroughbred education. The page currently contains only facts supplied for publication and will expand when original photography, video and approved Academy material are available.
Pedigree
A sire is a horse's father and a dam is its mother. Oakley's sire is Gleneagles and his dam is Dolphin. His pedigree includes Galileo and Sea The Stars as grandsires.
Future Academy material will use that real pedigree to explain the terminology and relationships rather than treating pedigree names as a prediction of performance.
